Course description
The immense value of the outdoors can be harnessed throughout the year, with new opportunities for play and learning presenting themselves on a seasonal basis. This webinar looks to emphasise the value through establishing a foundation of understanding of why the outdoors matters and by providing practical provocations for improving your practice and pedagogy. The sessions will cover:
- Why the outdoors matters – and the importance of this to promoting health, well-being, and learning experiences for children
- Develop a greater understanding of what needs to be in place for the best provision in the early years, including the basic roles and responsibilities for adults working in their professional contexts.
- How each season can offer alternative possibilities for outdoor enrichment: the four seasons will be considered so that your use of the outdoors can be maximised for the benefit of the children in your care.
The webinar will take place on the following dates and times:
Session 1: 21 June 2022, 16:00 -17:30
Session 2: 5 July 2022, 16:00 – 17:30
